Bernardsville to Split Costs to Renovate Kiwanis Little League Field - TAPinto.net

BERNARDSVILLE, NJ — The Bernardsville Borough Council on Monday night passed an ordinance to pay $11,000 of the total cost of renovations to the Kiwanis Little League Field.

The borough will

divide the overall cost of $21,550 with the Somerset Hills Little League, which has contracted with Georgia Golf Construction Inc. of Woodbine for improvements to the complex.

The Somerset Hills Little League had requested that the borough contribute 50 percent to the cost of the project.

Twenty percent of Open Space Trust Fund money acquired prior to 2020, and 100 percent of the Borough’s Open Space Trust Fund money acquired from 2020 forward, may be used for the development of lands acquired for recreation and conservation purposes.

Part of the renovation will include configuring the baseball field for use by different age groups.
