President Frank Frerich lead the meeting, the Pledge of Allegiance and the invocation....

Valerie Stoj lead “God bless America”. 12 members were present.

Members may have noticed that the napkins were upgraded from paper to cloth.

Barbara StJohn: Barb was in the hospital for infusions. She has since returned home. Members are wishing her a full recovery.

Ralph Peppard: Ralph joined us today after a stay in the hospital and was welcomed back by members.

Clothes for Kids: Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 72nd Street Walmart. One family will have 6 children there. Our budget allowed including all of them.

Flag Placement: Dennis Cronin still needs at least 2 more volunteers for the pick-up at 5 pm on Veterans Day, November 11.

Bell Ringing for Salvation Army: Enough volunteers signed up for Saturday, December 7 at Wheatfields, 103rd and Pacific.

Drawing: Valerie Stoj removed the 5 of Hearts, leaving about 9 cards, improving the chance for future participants.

Happy Bucks: Assistant Sheriff Vernon Waldren collected many of these, as Ralph wanted to take it easy today while still recovering from his illness.

Upcoming Programs:  November 13 and 20 Bruce Moulton will present students for volleyball and football. Nov 6 was still open.

Durham Museum Ethnic Christmas Event Sunday, December 1: Today’s speaker promoted this event at which he will be participating as Father Christmas.

Today’s Speaker: Valerie Stoj introduced Jeff Koneck, a member of OOPS, Omaha Organization for the Purpose of Storytelling, who told several stories from his years of telling stories to his elementary students, using some props. Jeff gave each of us a picture of him as Father Christmas and Father Earth. He fits these characters well with his long beard.
