Barb St John reported on Clothes for Kid's.  We have 7 families and 13 children. We will be getting one more family and one more child.  Our shopping will be Tuesday, November 22. Meet at 4:45 pm at Walmart on 72nd street. We will spend $130 on each child for clothing and $10.00 for taxes. Each volunteer will be given an envelope with the name of the parent, the child's names and age and the $140 to be spent for each child listed on the envelope..  More information will be emailed to every one that has volunteered to help shop that night. so far we have Barb, Dave, Joann, Ralph, Rod, Frank, Jessica, Deb Squires (Kip's wife), and Marilyn Cheney. I've called each of the families to give them directions on date, time and place to meet. I will be confirming this with them Sunday evening. They were all very happy we are doing this.

Frank Frerichs said all of the time slots are filled for December 3rd Salvation Army Bell Ringing. Still need 1 more for December 13th.  Contact Frank if you can volunteer for the 13th.

Joann Feller is working on the speaker sign up sheet. It might be possible for Greg Carlson to sign up for February and Vince Pille to sign up for April.  Joann will contact each of them.

Dale Kaisershot does need one more person as a Reader for November 30th at Sacred Heart School. Also need Readers for December 7th and December 14th. It is from 1 to 2 pm on each of these dates. Contact Dale if you can volunteer for any of these dates.

December 1st is our Christmas party for 14 second graders, their teacher and the principal from Sacred Heart School. They will be bused to Legends for lunch. They'll receive a treat bag being put together by Tara Kaisershot and Barb St John.

Ralph Peppard introduced our speaker Akia Sparkman, Program Manager for 100 Black Men of Omaha, Inc. It was good to hear so much about their program. Mentoring the 100 Way Across A Lifetime.has helped a large amount of young people.

No meeting on Thanksgiving.

Next Meeting : December 1st at noon at Legends -  We will host 14 second graders, their teacher and principal from Sacred Heart Elementary School.  The kids will have the experience of ordering off the menu, with your help, of course. Consider sharing your story with a youngster over lunch.  This meeting may run just a little longer than usual.  Let's have a big attendance.

Have A Happy Thanksgiving Everyone.
