Guest: Joann Feller visited again and indicated her plans to join our club for the following year, starting on October 1 and possibly bringing another member. Welcome!

Membership Drive: Frank Frerich reported that mailings to business in about 1+ miles of our meeting place were sent and plans are being made by Frank and other members to follow up with visits to invite their executives to join us for an information meeting about membership. This is done in cooperation with NE/IA Kiwanis Governor Sue Waldren and other leaders.

Installation Dinner September 26 at Champions Club: Reservations and payments of $25 for the meals are coming in. Please give reservations to Valerie Stoj and advance payment to treasurer Vern Waldren.

Today’s Program: Member and retired Real Estate Broker John Seigel stepped in to fill the open schedule. He reported on the 2015 book “AFTERSHOCK, Next Global Financial Meltdown” by three authors / economists, who had correctly predicted he 2008 financial and mortgage crisis. John quoted from the book and added some of his own observations. Discussion included valuable input from our resident trust officer, Teri Layton, and other members. (John’s retirement investments lost another 1.64% on Thursday by 11 am).
