Olive Garden Restaurant, 75th and Dodge, Wednesday, August 14, 2019.

President Valerie Stoj lead the meeting, he Pledge and “God bless America”....

Dave Huelsmann gave the invocation. 9 members were in attendance.

Treasurer Vern Waldren: Valerie reported that Vern will need to stay home for up to about 6 weeks to recover from an injury. Members wish Vern a full recovery.

Barbara St.John will continue to collect the meal cost at the luncheons.

Board Meeting: Board did not recommend meeting at Boys and Girls Club or Open Door Mission with concerns about low attendance. The board voted to add John Seigel to the signers of checks as a back-up treasurer.

Officer and Board Member Installation September 26, 6pm: Valerie distributed a sign-up sheet. Meals are all $25 to be paid in advance. Choices: Top Sirloin, Chicken Marsala or Grilled Salmon. Tax and gratuity will be covered by club funds. Beverages are cash.

Flag Placement: Labor Day, September 2. Since Vern and Cherie will not be able to help, as they have done often, other members are encouraged to assist.

Division 20 Breakfast: September 4, 7 am, First Watch, 72nd and Pacific.

September 25: Carrie Ketcham of Ronald McDonald House.

Today’s Program: President Valerie Stoj attended the NE/IA Convention in Lincoln Saturday and gave a detailed report about the event, the available break-out sessions and the ones she attended, as well as goals for the district set by the 2019/20 Governor Lenora. Next year’s convention will again be in Lincoln, as the governor is from Lincoln.
