President Valeire Stoj lead the meeting, the Pledge and “God bless...

America”, Glen Fineman gave the invocation. 12 members were in attendance.

Barbara St.John again fulfilled the treasurer’s responsibilities as Vern Waldren was still winding down his involvement with the Douglas County Fair.

Division 20 Meeting: Valerie, Glen and Bruce Moulton attended this morning at 7 am, which was an interclub.

Possible visit to Boys and Girls Club or Open Door Mission. Valerie asked members if there was an interest in moving one of our meetings to either of these organizations. There was not much response either way.

August and September speakers: At this time no speakers are confirmed for the three remaining Wednesdays in August and the  first two in September. Glen Fineman will bring a program on September 18 and Carrie Ketcham from Ronald McDonald House will speak on September 25. Please let Valerie and the editor know I you have a program scheduled for the 5 open dates.

Officer and Board members Installation Dinner Thursday, September 26 at Champions Club: Frank Frerich will arrange the meal selection and prepayment.

Board Meeting: Monday, August 12, Vern Waldren’s Office.

 Flag Placement:: Monday, September 2, Labor Day.

Today’s Speaker: Lt. Governor District 20 Barbara O’Donnell and her Service dog Karl gave a presentation about how Karl assists Barbara with her imbalance issues. We learned about the difference between trained Service Dogs and “emotional service animals”. Karl seems to be of great help to Barbara.
