President Valerie Stoj lead the meeting,

the Pledge and “God Bless America”, Glen Fineman gave the invocation. 11 Members were present.

Guest: We welcomed JoAnn Feller, a member of the North Omaha Kiwanis Club and former Lt. Governor of District 19.

Next Flag placement in Loveland: Monday, September 2.Labor Day.

Board Meeting: Monday, August 19 at Vern Waldren’s Office.’

Officer and Board Member Installation:  Thursday, September 26 at Champions Golf Club.

Drawing: Jack Jackson removed the jack of Hearts.

Happy Bucks: As usual, Sheriff Ralph Peppard collected several of these from happy members and our guest.

Upcoming Speakers: Frank and Dennis, please send out programs for July and August. We need a member to schedule programs for September.

Today’s Speaker: Frank Frerich arranged and Valerie Stoj introduced Brenda Williams, owner of “For the Wild Birds” 8505 Frederick Street, southwest of 84th and Center. Crinda spoke about the many varieties of birds in our area and the best way to feed them not only during the winter. She also gave ideas on how to make it harder for squirrels, possums and other animals to participate in the feedings. She handed out free samples of bird food.
