President Valerie Stoj lead the meeting, the Pledge and “God bless...

America”. Dave Huelsmann gave the invocation. 12 members were present.

Bruce Moulton: Valerie reported the Bruce was admitted to Methodist Hospital and is now in Rehab room 411. Members were encouraged to visit him. Members expressed best wishes to Bruce for a full recovery.

Election of Officers 2019/2020: Valerie Stoj presented the second reading of the proposed officers and directors> Final reading and elections next week:

President: Frank Frerich

President elect: Ralph Peppard

Secretary: Glen Fineman

Treasurer: Vern Waldren

Backup Treasurer: John Seigel

Board Members 2 years: Linda Jones and Barbara St.John

Past President: Valerie Stoj

Election for NE/IA trustee Region 2: Nominees Barbara O’Donnell, Bellevue and Lon Olson, Fremont. The majority of members present voted that our club vote for Barbara O’Donnell.  

No meeting on July 3.

Golf Outing May 31: Teri Layton reported that 9 teams and 15 hole sponsors have signed up. Members are encouraged to invite more teams.

Flag Placement Saturday, May 18:  Dennis Cronin still needs volunteers for the 7 am placement and 6pm pick-up.

Summer Kickoff party at Teri Layton’s home, 14609 Hartman Ave, Sunday, May 26, beginning at 3 pm. Teri emailed an invitation to members. Please let Teri know whether you will be able to attend (or not). This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Interclub Monday, May 20, noon: Greater Omaha Kiwanis, German-American Society, 3717 S 120th Street, Ratskeller, lower level, south side.

Special Olympics, Friday, May 24, 5:30 pm Northwest High School: Ralph Peppard is still looking for 5 more members to assist with shot-put to assist the 3 already signed up.

Camp OK: Our club is sponsoring students Marin Davis and Ella Tobaben from Westgate School. Glen Fineman agreed to see them off at Firemen’s Hall, 60th and Grover.

Wishing Spin Fundraiser: Rod Jones reported that about half the advertising spots have been sold and he will assist in securing more.

Drawing: Dave Huelsmann removed the 4 of Hearts, getting every closer to someone winning.

Happy Bucks: Sheriff Ralph Peppard collected several.

Since there was no speaker the meeting was adjourned early.
