Welcome to the Kiwanis Club of West Omaha
 
Founded in 1938 for Kiwanis Club of Greater Omaha and founded in 1961 for Kiwanis Club Westside which have merged together to form the Kiwanis Club of West Omaha. Each has a rich history of community service throughout the years. We are an eclectic mix of ages, genders, occupations, backgrounds and interests. We are all passionate about making our community and the world a better place for children so they can thrive. We are devoted to serving the children in our local community and also children all across the country and worldwide through unique and innovative service projects and fundraising initiatives. Members and invited guests meet each Monday at Noon for food, fellowship, and for the opportunity to hear from speakers about important matters in our region.

The meeting was opened with a prayer from Kip.  This was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
 
Attendance - 15 members.    
 
The 50/50 drawing was held and there was no winner.
 
Happy Bucks was collected.  
 
Kip led the business discussion:
Frank is still sick and unable to attend the meeting.  We should wish the best for Frank.
Rod reported that the last Completely Kids event was held April 29th with members 
Deb, Rich, and Rod.
The Completely Kids America 250 Year celebration is scheduled for July 10.  Budget for the
event, and determination of our Club's participation is pending.
Greg reminded all that Sacred Heart Zoo trip is scheduled for May 15.  The gathering area
is by the main entrance ticketing between 9:30 and 10:00. 
Rod also reminded all that the AllPlay site is Seymour Smith Park with the games starting
May 9.
A Flag Program update from Dennis:
Received payments total $4,460 - about half of those billed.
The first date for setting out flags is May 16 - Armed Forces Day staring at 7 AM.  More 
details to follow.

Joann reported that the next Division Meeting is scheduled for June 2 in Red Oak and on Zoom.
Joann also reported that she has volunteered the Omaha Clubs to help, to include registration,
at the District Convention in August.
      
 The guest speaker was Marcy Browning of the Duet Foundation.
 
The next Club Meeting is May 11, at Legends with the scheduled guest speaker as Alexas Boulos of 
Union Soccer.
