Welcome to the Kiwanis Club of West Omaha
 
Founded in 1938 for Kiwanis Club of Greater Omaha and founded in 1961 for Kiwanis Club Westside which have merged together to form the Kiwanis Club of West Omaha. Each has a rich history of community service throughout the years. We are an eclectic mix of ages, genders, occupations, backgrounds and interests. We are all passionate about making our community and the world a better place for children so they can thrive. We are devoted to serving the children in our local community and also children all across the country and worldwide through unique and innovative service projects and fundraising initiatives. Members and invited guests meet each Monday at Noon for food, fellowship, and for the opportunity to hear from speakers about important matters in our region.

The meeting was opened with a prayer from Frank.  This was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
 
Attendance - 12 members.   One guest, Ralph's wife Connie who made cupcakes to celebrate Ralph's
birthday.  
 
The 50/50 drawing was held and there was no winner.
 
Happy Bucks was collected.

Dale reported on Sacred Heart:
The reading on February 20 was cancelled due to weather.
The next reading is February 27 with scheduled readers as Dale, Rich, Joann, and Steve.     
Dale also reported that the next date for Completely Kids is February 25 with Deb, Rich, Dale, and
Frank.  
Frank reminded all that a Kiwanis Celebration with Kiwanis International President Michael Mulhaul 
attending will happen on March 13 at the Aloft Omaha West in Elkhorn.  Agenda will include
presentation of 2024-2025 Achievement Awards.
Frank reported that the next Club Board Meeting is tonight, February 23, at 6:30 - Swanson Library
90th and Dodge.
                 
Dale introduced the guest speaker - Gary Sadlemyer recently retired from KFAB radio.
 
The next Club Meeting is February 23, at Legends.
