Welcome to the Kiwanis Club of West Omaha
 
Founded in 1938 for Kiwanis Club of Greater Omaha and founded in 1961 for Kiwanis Club Westside which have merged together to form the Kiwanis Club of West Omaha. Each has a rich history of community service throughout the years. We are an eclectic mix of ages, genders, occupations, backgrounds and interests. We are all passionate about making our community and the world a better place for children so they can thrive. We are devoted to serving the children in our local community and also children all across the country and worldwide through unique and innovative service projects and fundraising initiatives. Members and invited guests meet each Monday at Noon for food, fellowship, and for the opportunity to hear from speakers about important matters in our region.

This meeting was the annual Sacred Heart Second Grade Christmas Lunch.   
 
The meeting was opened with a prayer from Frank.  This was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
 
Attendance - 18 members.  There were 19 Guests:
Sacred Heart's fifteen children from the Second Grade Class and in addition the School Principal,
Class Teacher, and an Assistant.
Dale's wife Tara.  
 
The 50/50 drawing was not held and Happy Bucks was not collected.
 
Frank led the business discussion: 
Two items:
Vince has received the new Bell Ringing location after Nebraska Furniture Mart cancelled the
December 5th and 12th dates.  The new location is Cabelas on December 16th from 10 AM
 o 6 PM.  He passed out a sign in sheet and the times were filled.
The First Night Watch is tonight which Frank has covered.
      
The Party Program was initially opened by Frank, followed with lunch, and then Dale led the program.  The 
Children, one at a time, introduced themselves and then the Club Members did the same.  In addition the
school leaders talked and the Children's gifts were passed out.
The Children's gifts were made-up by Tara and Barb.
 
 
 
The next Club Meeting is December 15, at Legends.
