Kiwanis Division 3 of the NE-IA District recently conducted its annual Division Council Meeting hosted by the Milford Kiwanis. The annual Personal Hygiene Backpack event — where each Kiwanis club in Division 3 provides personal hygiene items such as shampoo, deodorant, towel, wash cloth, tooth brush, toothpaste, soap and comb or brush — filled 400 backpacks which were then distributed to UDMOs in Dickinson, Palo Alto, Emmet and Clay counties. (Above) Local representatives from Spencer’s Kiwanis programs delivered the backpacks to Spencer’s UDMO location. Some 60 Kiwanians helped to fill the backpacks. The assembly was addressed by the NE-IA governor, Sue Waldren. She stated her goals for the 2018-19 year which are to serve the children of the communities and the world. She also inducted new members and installed the officers of our division.
