Arlington Kiwanis names person of year - Arlington Times

ARLINGTON – Steve Peterson was honored as Arlington Kiwanis Person of the Year at the Kiwanis Installation Banquet Oct. 3.

Peterson grew up in Oso and graduated from Arlington High School in 1966. He has served as an Arlington police officer, a president and board member of Kiwanis, a commissioner on the Civil Service Board and as secretary of the Cascade Valley Hospital Board. Honoring his late wife, Kathy, he has helped the Kiwanis and the Library Board for the past five years with their yearly purchase and presentation of a dictionary for every third-grade area student.

This year’s dictionaries will be presented in honor of both Kathy and Steve Peterson.
