Kiwanis Club of Emporia has not waffled on tradition.

Kiwanis held their 70th annual pancake feed Saturday morning at the Lyon County Fairgrounds, Anderson Building. Club spokesperson Jean Tidwell says they had a great show of support.

Tidwell says the event runs very smoothly because every club member knows their responsibilities after years of practice.

Exactly where funds will go is still to be decided, but Tidwell says the club has some good ideas.

Tidwell added that Emporia is truly a charitable community.

After hundreds of pancakes and sausages made, the club will need a few days to count all the funds they raised.
