Woodlake Kiwanis Club saddles up for Cowboy Casino fundraiser on Sept. 23 - Foothills Sun Gazette

WOODLAKE – If you’re tired of gambling where the house keeps the money, why not play some tables where all of the money goes toward community projects in your town!

The Woodlake Kiwanis Club is hosting a Cowboy Casino on Saturday, Sept. 23. The event will be held at the lovely Running P Ranch in Woodlake from 6 to 10:30 p.m. It will be a fun evening for all attendees. The tickets, which include dinner and $50 in gaming chips, are $65 per person or $90 per couple. Attendees can play everything from Bingo to Roulette, Craps, Blackjack and Poker.

Drawings will be held during the evening for exciting door prizes. Gaming winners can draw for grand prizes including a large screen TV, a new gun, a Yeti ice chest and more.

Woodlake Kiwanis is part of Kiwanis International, a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world we live in by helping our community’s children and families. Proceeds from the event will fund initiatives including scholarships, youth leadership activities like Key Club in high school and Builders Club in middle school as well as sponsoring participation in local, state and national leadership events.  Funds also support community events such as Woodlake’s July 3 Blast, a free event for the community to celebrate America’s birthday; Toys for Joy, providing Christmas toys to families in need; and Woodlake Awards, a banquet honoring local community contributions while building community pride. The club also supports the Woodlake Botanical Gardens and many more community efforts.

For tickets, log on to or contact Jenny House at 805-453-2080 or Leslie Rivas at 559-799-1399. Tickets will also be available at the event so come join us at the Running P Ranch, 19524 Avenue 364 in Woodlake.
