Honiotes thanked members who played a part in another successful Cruise Night cook out. Jim Gohs announced the Inter-Club visit will be Wednesday, Sept. 13, to the Streator High School Key Club. Jerry Myers, Andy Masters and Honiotes expressed interest in attending.

Program Chairwoman Zakia Scheuer introduced Kevin Shah and Bill Phelan. Both are associated in the development of the Starved Rock Motor Inn, formerly the Town & Country restaurant and motel.

Their project has been ongoing for 13 months. They noted that everything, including rooms and restaurant, have been completely redone. Local clients, including many from out of town, have already been utilizing the facility. The close proximity to Starved Rock State Park has helped draw customers.

The newly named Roamers restaurant is open for dinner with lunch planned for the future. A goal is to introduce new menu items that offer different foods. In addition, the banquet room has been redone with space for business meetings, reunions, etc.

The next meeting will be at noon Tuesday, Sept. 12, at The Eastwood Restaurant.
