At club's September meeting, members also discussed preparations for upcoming wine tasting

HOPEWELL — On Tuesday, Sept. 5 at Lisa’s Café, the Hopewell Kiwanis Club met for their monthly dinner meeting. The Hopewell Kiwanis Club presented a $500 donation to Ricky Irby, Hopewell High School head football coach. This donation will allow the team to purchase new football equipment. 

Kiwanians Rich Strongin and Jim Slagle discussed the preparations for the upcoming "7th Annual Wine Tasting" being held at the Beacon Theatre on Saturday, Nov. 18. This year Magnolia will be playing a concert to help raise money for the Hopewell Kiwanis Club’s scholarship program.

The Kiwanis Club supports many youth activities in Hopewell and Prince George including college scholarships, Key Clubs at Hopewell and Prince George high schools, Terrific Kids elementary citizenship programs, elementary school Reward Stores, and teen leadership programs.
