Local Baseball: Kiwanis sweeps Genesee - Journal Times

The Racine Kiwanis baseball team got some strong pitching in sweeping Genesee in a Land O’ Lakes League doubleheader Saturday at Horlick Field.

Travis Stahulak started and pitched five innings in the Kiwanis’ 4-0 victory in the first game, and Andrew Freiberg started the second game in Kiwanis’ 5-2 triumph.

Genesee managed only six hits in the opener and five hits in the second game.

The Kiwanis (4-1, 3-0) scored two runs in the first inning of the first game, with Ryan Ruediger and Jakob Kremers each driving in a run.

K.J. Banse and Kody Banse each went 2 for 4.

In the second game, Joel Hollow drove in three runs with a bases-loaded double in the third inning.
