President Valerie Stoj presided and lead the patriotic song, David Huelsmann...

started the Pledge of Allegiance and Ralph Peppard gave the invocation.

Board Meeting: Tuesday, September 4 at the OWH distribution center, 117th and Stonegate Drive at 6:15.

Treasurer’s Report: Vern Waldren provided a very detailed and positive financial report about the money raised for our welfare fund from the Golf Outing, Flag Project, members participation of the Sarpy County Tax Auction, member contributions and the Wish ‘N Spin at the Mark in Elkhorn. Vern also reported that he made several contributions to worthwhile budgeted causes.

Installation Dinner: Officers and board members will be installed on Thursday, September 6, at the Champions Club. Social time at 6 pm, dinner at 6:45. Valerie Stoj circulated a sheet for members to make reservations for one of several meal choices. Please pay treasurer Vern Waldren at one of next meetings.

Lunch Meeting on Wednesday, September 5. Members discussed whether to cancel that meeting because of the Thursday installation and chose not to cancel.

Drawing for the Tax Auction and member contribution list: Rod Jones is the winner of the incentive of $100 to make contribution. (A humorous question was raised “if one had to present to win”).

Drawing: In continuing our gambling Bruce Moulton removed the 7 of Clubs from the deck.

Happy Bucks: As always Sheriff Ralph Peppard collected many of these in his humorous way.

Next Week’s Speaker: Angel Guardians about their serving people with disabilities, to be introduced by David Huelsmann .

September Speakers: Ralph Peppard volunteered to arrange for programs.

Today’s Speaker: Since no speaker from the Omaha Lancers arrived, John Seigel filled the time by telling a few stories about their cruise around Iceland last year and other travel experiences.
