Honoring Northwest High Student: Bruce Moulton presented the certificate of accomplishment to basketball player Kaylynn Tucker, who attended with her mother and grandfather, who both coached her, and one other guest.

Upcoming Programs:

March 14: Our club was approached by Doug Kagan, President of “Nebraska Taxpayers for Freedom” to give a presentation about proposed LB829, an attempt to reduce school property taxes to property owners. This issue is currently before the Nebraska Legislature.

March 21: Westside 5th and 6th grade speech contest winners introduced by Linda Jones.

March 28: Developments in the Omaha residential Real Estate Market.

Today’s Speaker: John Seigel introduced Dr. Claude Akussah, a native of the small west African country Togo, who shared his life and educational experiences growing up in this politically unstable country, moving first to France with his family and later to the United States. Dr. Akussah is a doctor of Chemistry and currently holds a position in the laboratory at Methodist Women’s Hospital.
