President Cindy Cone presided, Ralph Peppard started the Pledge, Valerie Stoj...

lead the patriotic song and Cindy Cone gave the invocation.

Board meeting: Tuesday, January 9, at 6:15 pm at the Omaha World-Harald Distribution Center 118th and Stonegate Drive.

Salvation Army Nightwatch: Bruce Moulton reported that volunteers are signed up for the remaining days our club supports the food distribution to the Homeless.


Banners and equipment:
The restaurant will no longer store our banners, batches etc., stating liability and space concerns. Secretary Glen Fineman volunteered to take on that big responsibility.

Drawing: Ralph Peppard actually removed the ACE of CLUBS and took home $149, considerably less than the two jackpots getting more publicity at this time.

Happy Bucks: Sheriff Ralph Peppard collected many Happy Bucks following a lot of recent happy family events.

Next week’s program: Douglas County commissioner Claire Duda about “The state of the county”, guest of Vern Waldren.

Today’s program: Vern Waldren presented pictures and videos from their recent trip to the newly opened extension / widening of the Panama Canal. Members Ralph Peppard, Barbara St.John and David Huelsmann also traveled to the canal recently and other members had done so in the past. Always an impressive experience!
