President Dennis Cronin lead the meeting, Rod Jones lead “God bless America” and... Cindy Cone, our resident pastor, gave the invocation.
 
Board Meeting: Seven board members met on May 9. Officers and board members for the next year were announced. Since Dennis Cronin sent out an e-mail with them from the first reading, I will not repeat them. We will vote on them on May 31. The position of VP, which leads into presidency two years later, is still available.
 
Miracle League, All Play Baseball: Kiwanians are scheduled to volunteer this Saturday, May 13. Club Members can sign up for slots at allplay.org/gameday volunteers.
 
Special Olympics Friday, May 19: Ralph Peppard is still looking for about ten more volunteers to assist with the shot put at Northwest High School, beginning at 5:45 pm. Ralph is bribing members to help by offering a beer afterwards at the VFW at 90th and Military Road. Please contact Ralph at This email address is being protected from spambots. Golf Outing Friday, June 2 at noon: Teri Layton reported that 20 foursomes have signed up and 12 hole sponsors have committed at Trigeron Course near Bellevue. We are encouraged to sign up more teams and sponsors and donors of prices. 
 
Ronald McDonald meals Saturday, May 20: Barbara St.John reported that she has enough volunteers.
 
Flags in Loveland Area: Dennis Cronin reported that $1,010 has been received from participants, including $260 of donations above the $30 donation for the flag placements. More volunteers are needed for am and pm on Saturday, May 20. Please contact Dennis Cronin to help: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. 402-660-1147. Dennis and Frank Frerich have been busy locating the holes for the flags and repainting the caps orange for easier locating.
 
Division 20 and 19 bowling in July: Clubs are encouraged to have at least one team for the bowling fund raiser at The Mark in Elkhorn. Date to be confirmed.
 
Drawing and Winning: Jack H. Jackson drew the Ace of Clubs today, winning about $124! Time for a new deck of cards.
 
Next Week’s Program: Student recognition for academic accomplishments to be lead by Lt. Governor Bruce Moulton.
 
Today’s Speaker: Brian Sarnacki spoke about the DO Center at the SW corner of 72nd and Dodge Streets. The former book store location converted to a computer center offers free classed for people of all ages to advance computer familiarity. He showed several examples of 3-D printing, for which the facility has printers of various sophistication. The DO Center is operated by a Non Profit Group with strong financial support from local philanthropists.
