The Adrian City Commission voted unanimously Monday to accept a $25,000 grant from the Adrian Kiwanis Club to help develop a trailhead plaza on theKiwanis Trial at West Maumee Street just west of Church Street.
The city had already budgeted $40,000 from the Fee Estate trust for the project.
The plaza, which would be on the north side of Maumee Street, would have benches, landscaping and signage, parks and recreation director Mark Gasche said last week.
Land for the plaza was donated to the city. The total project is expected to cost $65,000, Gasche said. The plaza could be constructed this summer, Gasche said last week.
