You need JavaScript enabled to view it The McIntosh Kiwanis Club of Peachtree City recently showed their generous support of the children who live in the cottages at the Children's Village at Christian City in Union City. A gift of $1,000 was presented by the club to the Christian outreach organization. Christian City has been caring for neglected children in a family-centered residential setting since 1965. More than 1,000 children have called Christian City "home" over the years. Kay McInroe, club president, presented the check to Bob Crutchfield, Christian City's president/CEO, and Heidi Becker, director of marketing and development. The Children's Village at Christian City is in need of the following items and would appreciate any help the community can provide: • canned fruits, vegetables, pasta. • peanut butter, jelly. • individually-wrapped snacks, drinks. • personal and dental hygiene products. • child cereals. • batteries. • cleaning supplies • Ziploc bags of all sizes. • gift cards to Wal-Mart, Target, Kroger or Publix. • paper towels, napkins, toilet tissue. Individuals may also choose a boy or a girl. Sponsors receive a photo, profile and regular updates. Sponsorship of $30 a month helps to pay for basic needs such as food, clothing and education Donations to Graceland Thrift Shop on the Christian City grounds are also needed. Proceeds from the shop help to pay for the education of the children who live in the cottages. Volunteers are needed to work in the store to accept donations, sort them and help with customers.
