Tom Shultz started happy Dollars because Motor Sport magazine published his photos and half a page about Tom. Kevin Sjostrom paid a buck to thank Tom Schultz for again doing the bulletin last week. Eli Potkonjak paid a buck for the winner of the Australian open, who donated his winnings to rebuild a church in Kosovo. John Cable was really happy that his daughter is making her way back from Chile, having just finished a bike trip in Peru, but she is planning a couple of detours, including a hike into Macchu Pichu and a trip to Bolivia. John Foley was happily planning to go to Austin to visit sons.Our speaker was Shannon Malnory-Silbernagel from the American Cancer Society, the oldest (since 1946) and largest (two million volunteers and 46 Nobel prize winners funded by ACS). Shannon is a Wauwatosa native and a 1997 East High School grad. ACS has sixteen current grant programs in Wisconsin, including programs that fund cancer research at the Medical College of Wisconsin, University of Wisconsin and Marquette University. The Relay for Life in Tosa will be July 19-20 at the Wisconsin Lutheran College athletic fields (the same day as the start of the London Olympic Games). There are now Relays in 21 countries involved, and last year there were 5146 relays just in the US.Member updates: Warren Carity (per Carl Smith) had bad bronchitis, which is why we haven't seen him, but he's medicating and slowly getting better. Tom Anstett's family has had some rough times. Tom's father died last Wednesday, and Laurie's father died on Thursday.Pancakes: Eli Potkonjak still has plenty of tickets available for sale.
