Police Beat: Four vehicle burglaries under investigation - Freeport Journal-Standard
Freeport police are investigating four reports of burglary to a vehicle that occurred sometime between 4:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 30. In each case, a window was broken to gain access to the vehicle. Police believe the crimes may be related.Two of the incidents occurred in the 900 block of Kiwanis Drive. In one case, a $50 wallet containing $5 in cash and other items was reported stolen. In the other case, a $30 purse containing an Mp3 player ($200), and a digital camera ($150), was reported stolen.The other two burglaries took place in the 500 block of North Henderson Avenue. In one case, a $50 purse containing $60 in cash and other items was reported stolen. In the other case, the vehicle was broken into but nothing was stolen.No arrests have been made.
