What is a Kiwanian?

Kiwanians are volunteers changing the world through service to children and communities. Kiwanis members help shelter the homeless, feed the hungry, mentor the disadvantaged, and care for the sick. They develop youth as leaders, build playgrounds, raise funds for pediatric research, and much more. No problem is too big or too small. Why? Because working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone. When you give a child a chance to learn, experience, dream, and succeed, great things happen!

Aktion Club - for adults with disabilities

Aktion Club members in more than 200 clubs in seven nations allow adults living with disabilities to develop initiative and leadership skills through hands-on service. These adults return to the community the benefits, help, and caring they have received.

Kiwanis Club Accepting Applications for Star Search - Patch.com

The local Kiwanis Club is currently seeking applications for its fourth annual Gig Harbor Kiwanis Star Search. The performers are selected through auditions, and finalists will perform and compete on stage for a $500 prize on April 28 at the Gig Harbor Yacht Club. Applicants may audition for one of the five dates: March 3, 17, 31, April 7and 14. There are no audition fees and small groups as well as individual performers are welcome. Performers must be of amateur status and be 16 years old or older. Star Search has grown in importance over its lifetime and winners of the competition now find their performance leads to opportunities to show their talents before much broader audiences as professional entertainers.
