"It's the week before the Super Bowl, and people are wondering where they will be ordering their pizza," said Kiwanis Club vice chairman and Pizza Bowl chairman Bill Smith. "This is a good opportunity to field test a new pizza, market your establishment and help raise money for children's charities. It becomes a win-win situation."Eleven local pizzerias will be participating in the event, supplying nearly 150 pizzas. Pizza lovers can buy their tickets at the door for $8, enter and eat all the pizza they want before voting for their favorite.Money raised goes to local children's charities. In the past, the Kiwanis Club has helped the New Outlook Teen Center, Big Brother/Big Sister and Head Start, to name a few."We have always supported the community. We've been here for 40 years. They support us, we support them," said Peter Fotinos, owner of Romeo's Pizza on Lincoln Street in Exeter. "We'll bring 10 pizzas: a garlic and white sauce; chicken and barbecue, and the artichoke special."On the back of pizza eaters' tickets will be a ballot for the Best Pizza in the Exeter area. Contests in other categories will also take place: Best Novelty Pizza; Judge's Choice; Best Meat Lovers; Best Vegetarian; Best Pizza Sauce; Best Pizza Cheese; Best Pizza Crust and Best Non-Red Sauce Pizza."We are encouraging them to bring buffalo wing, pot roast, clam and lobster pizzas," Smith said. "We are encouraging them to do everything. Zacky's in Epping has a pot roast pizza. If he brings a couple of those, and people like them, he can say, 'We are Zacky's.'"The participating pizzerias include: Academy Pizza in Exeter; Domino's Pizza in Stratham; Front Row Pizzeria in Exeter; Geppeto's Pizzeria in Newmarket; Jeremy's Pizzeria in Newmarket; Mama Lena's Pizzeria in Stratham; New England Pizza in Exeter; Panzanella's Pizza in Newmarket; Romeo's Pizza in Exeter; Supreme House of Pizza in Exeter and Zacky's Pizza in Epping."We are always happy to be involved in community fund-raisers and this also raises awareness about the Kiwanis Club and the work they do," said Kirsten Moskowitz, owner of the Domino's Pizza in Stratham. "We will be bringing our classic cheese as well as the barbecue chicken and other experiments we will cook up. Let the games begin."The Exeter Area Kiwanis Club celebrated its 31th year of supporting the community's children this past July. The Exeter Area Kiwanis Club is a community based organization established to serve the needs of the community's children. The club has supported the Exeter Hospital's emergency helicopter pad and the Mobile Children's Dental Van.Kiwanis also sponsors the
