Fireworks Stand fundraising: Jerry Katskee located a very good location waiting approval by one building tenant. Time is running short to get approval by the fireworks firm and to submit an application to the city.
Midyear conference: Jack Jackson, Joe Schmidtke, Glen Fineman and Dennis Cronin will attend in Council Bluffs on Saturday, April 4 from 7:30 to 4:30.
Ronald McDonald Dinner: Also on Feb. 4 beginning at 5pm. A couple more volunteers may be needed.
Interclubs: One was completed last week at Bellevue AM and another is scheduled for Jan 23 at noon in Plattsmouth.
Programs: February programs are lined up including 2 basketball player honors.
Drawings: Our speaker provided three books "The coming Jobs War" by Jim Clifton of Gallup. Also the Ace of Spades was removed from the deck.
Happy Bucks: Dennis Cronin, who recently had a hip replacerd, successfully completed his first rehab at the YMCA. Ray Preston, who had volunteered as one of 4 to clear snow at his church appreciated the very little snow we had so far this winter. Rod Jones, who continued teachin part time retired for the second time on Dec. 22. Dave Huelsmann and Barb are looking forward to a cruise from Ft. Lauderdale to the Panama Canal. next week. Will Spech thought "we were lucky with the warm weather". John Seigel announced his wife's daughters second baby yesterday, making it a mere 18 grandchildren. He also went skiing in Mt. Crescent, IA on Monday with two grandchildren.
Speaker: Linda Shafer from the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce informed us about the many activities of the Chamber and in particular "Leadership Omaha", which exposes a select group of upcoming community leaders to the many positive aspects of the Omaha area.
